Sales volume in Central Oregon has increased this month and I assume that it will continue to do so as we slowly work our way into the Spring market. The shock of rising interest rates has fizzled out on Buyers a bit, especially in the past 2 weeks with a dramatic drop in rates giving an opportunity for serious buyers to hop in. Overall, the rates seem to have much more of an impact on the sellers who are locked in at a low rate and considering a move - the rate difference is not appealing and therefore we are seeing more homeowners staying put. I foresee this leading to another choke on our inventory here in Bend and adversely, prices leveling off. Only time will tell.. but as of now, it feels like we are in for another busy Spring market. - Greg
